Over the next three months, three outstanding Club Legends will each enjoy the use of a Hilux for a few weeks (fully fuelled and ready for anything) plus, we’ll donate $1,000 to their club!* Even better — Toyota New Zealand will help share their club’s story with the whole country. A proud moment for the people who put in the work, week in and week out, and their club.

- Campaign Overview
The Miles Toyota Club Legend campaign celebrates individuals who have made a meaningful contribution to their local rugby/footy club. Each month, one nominated Club Legend will receive:
- Use of a Miles Toyota Hilux for approximately 26 days
- A $1,000 donation (plus GST) to the CRFU club they are a member of
- A full tank of fuel in the Hilux upon collection (no need to refuel on return)
- Campaign Period and Nominee Selection
- Overall Campaign Period: 9 May – 7 August 2025
- Nomination Period: 9 May – 4 July 2025
- Nominee Selection: Three successful nominees (Club Legends) will be selected across the campaign period — one for each Vehicle Loan Period. The Canterbury Rugby Football Union and Miles Toyota will select the successful nominator and respective Club Legend at their discretion. All decisions made by the Canterbury Rugby Football Union and Miles Toyota are final.
Each Club Legend will be confirmed by the Canterbury Rugby Football Union eight days before their respective loan begins. The nominator will be contacted by phone or email to confirm their nominee has been selected. Miles Toyota and CRFU will work together with the nominator to confirm further arrangement. If the nominator does not make contact with Miles Toyota within 48 hours, a redraw of nominations (see clause 5, Nomination Rules).

- Vehicle Loan Period 1:
- Loan Period: 17 May – 12 June 2025
- Confirmation/contact Date: 12 May 2025 at 9:00am
- Vehicle Loan Period 2:
- Loan Period: 14 June – 10 July 2025
- Confirmation/contact Date: 6 June 2025 at 9:00am
- Vehicle Loan Period 3:
- Loan Period: 12 July – 7 August 2025
- Confirmation/contact Date: 4 July 2025 at 9:00am
- How to Nominate
To nominate your Club Legend, visit milestoyota.co.nz/club-legend and complete the online entry form. You will need to:
- Provide your contact details (email and phone number)
- Share the name of your nominee and their club
- Write a short blurb explaining why they’re your Club Legend
- Agree to receive email marketing from Miles Toyota
- Confirm that you have informed your nominee that they have been nominated
Note: To remain valid, nominators must be subscribed to Miles Toyota's marketing emails at the time of nomination confirmation.
- Nomination Rules
- One nomination per person (no duplicate nominations of the same individual from one nominator)
- Nominators may submit multiple nominations by completing separate entries for each individual
- Nominee must be aged 25 or older and hold a valid New Zealand driver’s licence
- Nominator must obtain the nominee’s permission before submitting the nomination
- Both the nominator and nominee (Club Legend) must agree to appear in campaign content and sign a talent release form if selected
- The nominee and nominator must be available for the handover on the relevant Saturday for their loan period (17 May, 14 June, 12 July), between 10am–2pm
- Only nominees from Canterbury Rugby Football Clubs district will be considered
- Employees of Miles Toyota are not eligible to nominate or be nominated as a Club Legend. Immediate family members of employees may be nominated, provided the nominator is not employed by Miles Toyota
- The selected nominator must contact Miles Toyota within 48 hours of being notified of their nomination's success. Failure to do so will result in a redraw of nominations, and the newly drawn submission will be carried through to a later Vehicle Loan Period.
- Vehicle Loan Terms
- The loan vehicle is a black Toyota Hilux with custom decals displaying the Club Legend’s club logo
- The vehicle will be provided fully fuelled, and no refuelling is required before return
- The vehicle must be returned to Miles Toyota by the Vehicle Loan Period Return Date.
- Vehicle Loan Period 1: Return by Thursday 12th June 2025 before 4:30pm
- Vehicle Loan Period 2: Return by Thursday 10th July 2025 before 4:30pm
- Period Loan Period 3: Return by Thursday 7th August 2025 before 4:30pm
- The Club Legend (nominee) must sign a Miles Toyota Loan Vehicle Agreement and provide a valid copy of their full New Zealand driver’s licence. Only the Club Legend is eligible to drive the vehicle
- The vehicle must not be driven outside the Canterbury region without prior written approval from Miles Toyota
- Miles Toyota is not responsible for any costs incurred during the vehicle loan period, including but not limited to fuel, tolls, fines, or any other expenses as outlined in the vehicle loan agreement
- No smoking, vaping, pets, eating, or drinking in the vehicle. Cleaning or repair charges may apply if the vehicle is returned in an unreasonable condition
- The Club Legend is responsible for any fines, infringement notices, or damage incurred during the loan period. Any damage must be reported to Miles Toyota immediately.
- Insurance excess applies as outlined in the Vehicle Loan Agreement
- Miles Toyota reserves the right to terminate the vehicle loan at any time if the vehicle is misused or the terms of the agreement are breached. The vehicle remains the property of Miles Toyota and must be returned upon request
- Content & Talent Release
- The Club Legend and nominator agree to appear in video and photo content used to promote the campaign, including interviews, supplementary b-roll footage at their club, and the handover
- The Club Legend agrees to provide ebass@milesgroup.co.nz a minimum of 1x photo and 1x video during their vehicle loan period to be used for marketing purposes
- Campaign content will be used across Miles Toyota, Miles Group, Canterbury Rugby Football Union, and Toyota New Zealand marketing channels including, but not limited to, website, social media, blogs, eDMs, and billboards
- Both the nominator and nominee must sign a full talent release form for use of their name, image, and voice in promotional material
- Privacy Statement
- By submitting a nomination form, Miles Toyota may retain your details to keep you informed about products, services, and offers
- You have the right to inspect or update your information at any time by calling 03 379 0610 or completing this form.
- If you do not wish to receive future marketing communications, you may unsubscribe online or by calling the same number
- For full details, please refer to Miles Toyota’s Privacy Policy. Any personal information submitted to Toyota New Zealand Limited through the nomination will be handled in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
- General Terms
- The Hilux loan vehicle and $1,000 rugby club donation are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. The nominee (Club Legend) is responsible for providing the Club Legend’s rugby club bank account details to Miles Toyota during their vehicle loan period.
- Miles Toyota reserves the right to substitute any vehicle with one of equal or greater value if necessary
- Incomplete, incorrect, or misleading entries will be disqualified
- By entering, the nominator and selected Club Legend consent to the use of their name, image, and voice in promotional material, without compensation
- This campaign is by Miles Toyota and is not associated with Toyota New Zealand.
- Force Majeure
- Miles Toyota reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Miles Toyota Club Legend campaign in whole or in part due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, strikes, government restrictions, or failure of suppliers or contractors. In such circumstances, Miles Toyota will make reasonable efforts to communicate any changes or cancellations via appropriate marketing channels but shall not be liable for any loss or damage as a result of the amendment or cancellation of the campaign.
