My wife Kathie and I took ownership of Blenheim Toyota in 1990. Over the years I have taken ownership of South Canterbury Toyota, Rangiora Toyota, Kaiapoi Toyota and Ashburton Toyota. I split my time between them all, just as well I enjoy driving!
Paul has been in the Motor Industry since 2003 and comes from a background in Finance. Living in Kaiapoi, he and his family enjoy Waimak Football, camping, boating and the outdoors. Classics cars are also a time consuming and expensive passion.
Mike has been involved in the Motor Industry since 1974. He is an “A Grade Mechanic, been in Motor Sales since 1986 and been with the Toyota brand since 1989. He has many great loyal clients and looks forward to being of service.
Mike grew up on his parents farm in Oxford and commenced his apprenticeship with Rangiora Toyota (or Farmers Toyota as it was known then) in 1980. He has both A grade and Auto electrical qualifications. Mike came back to Rangiora Toyota after spending twenty years in aviation. Mike has a small block and four wonderful grandsons to keep him busy when he is not at work.
Eben represents South Africa in the dealership, However he has been in New Zealand from 2013 so we do think of him as a Kiwi. Eben has been at Rangiora Toyota since 2015 and enjoys 4 wheel driving, fishing and doing most things in the great outdoors.
Alan has been with Rangiora Toyota since 1990 and has seen many changes to the industry during that time. Whilst not thinking about parts he is kept busy on his 10 acre block and looking after the animals.
Harman has been in automotive detailing since 2017, joining Rangiora Toyota in 2018. He enjoys travelling, sight seeing and exploring, he is up for any adventure. In his spare time he likes to do exercising and watching movies.
Wendy has been a farmer most of her life and can still be found in the cow sheds on the odd weekend. She joined the grooming industry in 2017. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her children.
Henry has been with Toyota New Zealand since 2015 as part of the first Management Graduate Program Toyota International has produced. He has settled back in Canterbury and is utilising his experience as our new Business and Finance Manager. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, clay bird shooting and spending time with his dog.
Sally has been with us since 1987, and started as a receptionist. She worked her way up to become our very efficient Administration Manager. Sally enjoys travelling all over the world but when she is at home enjoys playing and following all sports.
Andy has a tremendous amount of experience in the Motor Industry beginning in the summer of 1990! After relinquishing the reigns of Branch Manager at South Canterbury Toyota in August 2018 he has taken on the well-deserved challenge of Group General Manager for Used Vehicles for the McDermid Group. This entails managing the used vehicle inventory for Blenheim, Rangiora, Kaiapoi, Ashburton and Timaru branches. Andy and his wife Helen have a very full social life which includes spending a great deal of time with their four grandchildren.
Originally from a hospitality background Talei moved to South Canterbury in 1996 from Wellington. She had a brief stint at Lake Tekapo before joining our team as our Business Manager. She then moved into admin in 2004. In 2015 Talei became our Group Admin Manager when Rangiora & Ashburton Toyota joined our group of South Canterbury & Blenheim Toyota. In her spare time Talei doesn’t enjoy running but Chris Ward & Sharon Wood make her do it from time to time. She does enjoy water and snow skiing, sewing and spending time with her daughter.
Chris was born and raised in Timaru before heading on a rather extended (12 year) OE. After seeing most of the 'other side of the world' Chris returned to Timaru in 2006 and joined our team 3 days later! Chris’s background before joining South Canterbury Toyota was mainly in the banking sector. She enjoys skiing, running, kayaking and spending time with her daughters.
