  • Your Toyota must be under 10 years old and have travelled fewer than 150,000km.
  • Servicing must be carried out by an Authorised Toyota Store.
  • If your Toyota doesn’t currently have an active Toyota warranty, it will need to pass an in-service inspection, at no additional cost, to ensure there are no existing issues.

How often should I service my Toyota?

Most Toyotas need servicing every 12-months or 15,000km (whichever comes first, under normal driving conditions). Vehicles with intermediate service schedules, as well as some older or high-mileage models, require more frequent servicing.

How much does a Toyota service cost?

Toyota servicing costs vary depending on your Toyota model and the type of service required. We’ve set out common prices in the Service Menu Pricing. Prices shown online are Maximum Retail Prices (MRP) and include GST. For specific service pricing for your Toyota, contact your local Toyota Store or request a service online.

Can I get a loan car while my vehicle is being serviced?

Loan cars are available at Toyota stores to help keep you mobile while your vehicle is being serviced. Availability can vary by location and booking demand, so we recommend checking with your store and requesting a loan car when you book. 

How long do you need to keep my car to complete a service?

That depends on the type of service and the Store’s schedule. You can confirm the timing and duration of your service when you book.

Can I wait while my car is being serviced?

Yes, you're welcome to wait while your car is being serviced. Many Toyota Stores have customer areas where you can relax during your visit. Amenities like Wi-Fi and complimentary coffee may vary, so it's a good idea to check with your store ahead of time if you’re after something specific. 

Can I purchase a Service Plan?

Toyota Service Plans are available for all eligible Toyotas. Contact your local Toyota Store for more information. All maintenance should be carried out by an Authorised Toyota Store during the warranty period.

Can I get a Toyota service near me?

What is Toyota Service Protect?

Toyota Service Protect is a 1 year/15,000km warranty available for eligible Toyota vehicles when a full scheduled service is completed at an Authorised Toyota Store.

Which vehicles qualify for Toyota Service Protect?

To be eligible, your Toyota must:

  1. Be less than 10 years old and have travelled less than 150,000km. 
  2. Receive a full scheduled service at an Authorised Toyota Store which may include passing a Toyota Service Protect in-service inspection.
What does Toyota Service Protect include?

It covers sudden and unexpected mechanical and electrical failure, including the Hybrid System and Hybrid Battery, on eligible Toyota vehicles. 
It also includes 24/7 roadside assistance, and rental vehicle and/or accommodation cover if you're more than 50km from home and your vehicle can't be repaired within 24 hours.

Do I need to activate the Toyota Service Protect warranty separately?

No. The warranty is automatically applied after the scheduled service, which may include passing an in-service inspection.

Do I need an in-service inspection to get Toyota Service Protect?

Only if your vehicle is not already covered by a Toyota New Zealand warranty.

What if my vehicle fails the in-service inspection?

If your vehicle doesn’t pass its in-service inspection, don’t worry – you may still be able to get Toyota Service Protect if the failed items are fixed within 3 months or 1,500km of your initial inspection at an Authorised Toyota Store.

Is there a cost for an in-service inspection?

No, this inspection is included as part of the scheduled service.  

Is the Toyota Service Protect warranty transferable if I sell my vehicle?

Yes, it's transferable to the new owner if you sell your vehicle.

Can I get the warranty if I service my Toyota elsewhere?

No. The warranty is only available when servicing is done at an Authorised Toyota Store.
