        Albany Toyota Minibus – Supporting our Community with Transport

         

        At Albany Toyota, we recognised a gap in our community - reliable and accessible transportation shouldn’t be a barrier for those who need it most. That’s why we’re proud to offer our Going Places Community Minibus, a free mobility service available to local groups, charities, schools, sports teams, churches, and not-for-profits organisations.

        Whether you’re heading to an event, a game, a fundraiser, or a community gathering, our 10-seat minibus (complete with a towbar for extra cargo) is here to help you get where you need to be without the stress of high costs.

         

         

        How it works

         

        • Free for two days – Bookings beyond this period are considered case by case.  
        • Easy request process – Tell us about your group and your trip, and we’ll get back to you ASAP.  
        • Flexible & practical – Perfect for transporting people and equipment safely.

        Please note the minibus is not available for personal use and the driver must be 21 years of age with a full unencumbered NZ drivers licence. Each application will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and dates available.

        The minibus is in high demand and therefore we would ask you to accept the booking confirmation email one week before the booking date.

        Terms and Conditions for the Albany Toyota Community Minibus

        The Albany Toyota Community Minibus is available to groups and organisations in our community that need to transport people or goods to games, competitions, or other events. By using the minibus, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

        Eligibility

        • The minibus is available for charity and non-for-profit groups, including but not limited to:
          • Schools
          • Local sports teams
          • Church groups
          • Arts and community clubs
        • The minibus is not available for personal use.
        • Each request will be reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis by Albany Toyota, subject to the intended use and availability.
        • Albany Toyota has sole discretion to approve or decline requests.

        Booking Details

        • The minibus seats up to 10 people.
        • Free usage is available for up to 2 days.
        • Requests for longer hire periods will be considered; please outline your requirements in your submission.

        Driver Requirements

        • The driver must hold a full New Zealand Driver’s License.
        • The nominated driver must:
          • Sign a “loan vehicle/test drive agreement” form.
          • Provide a copy of their driver’s license.
          • Be responsible for the vehicle during the hire period.

        Insurance

        • In the event of an accident caused by the driver of the minibus, the hirer must pay:
          • A standard insurance excess of $2,000.
          • An additional fee based on the driver’s age and license experience:
            • Drivers aged 25 or older with a full NZ license held for less than 12 months: $500.
            • Drivers under 25 years of age:
              • Aged 21-24: $500.

        Hirer Responsibilities

        • Arrange for pick-up and return of the minibus in the same condition as at pick-up:
          • The vehicle must be cleaned before return.
          • Return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel.
        • Provide a credit card for a fully refundable $300 hold, which may be used if:
          • The vehicle is returned dirty.
          • Refuelling is required upon return.

        Albany Toyota Responsibilities

        • Provide a first aid kit in the minibus.
        • Provide a fire extinguisher.
        • Offer a breakdown service contact number.
        • Supply an emergency contact number for urgent situations.

        Submitting a Booking Request

        • Provide details about:
          • The purpose of the hire.
          • The required dates.
        • Requests will be reviewed, and Albany Toyota will respond with approval, further questions or declining the request.

        Additional Notes

        • Failure to comply with these terms may result in additional charges or refusal of future hire requests.
        • Albany Toyota reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
