Toyota Yaris Cross Rear Seatbelt recall

News-Article-Toyota-Logo-950x450

Toyota New Zealand is recalling 392 vehicles due to a potential issue affecting the rear centre seatbelt anchor bracket in the Toyota Yaris Cross, manufactured between July and October 2020.

This is a precautionary measure to repair the centre rear seatbelt due to a potential concern associated with the finished edge of the seatbelt bracket. There is a possibility that the seatbelt webbing may be damaged during a collision, reducing the effectiveness of the restraint.

The repair will be completed free of charge by Toyota stores and will take approximately one hour to complete.

Owners of the vehicles, which are traceable through registration data, will be contacted by Toyota New Zealand by letter.

For further information please contact: 0800 TOYOTA (0800 869 682) or you can search your registration number here: https://www.toyota.co.nz/owners/recall/ to see if it is involved in the recall.
