Black Ferns visit Maidstone Intermediate
Published 1 August 2025
Thanks to Toyota New Zealand and New Zealand Rugby, the Black Ferns made a special visit to Maidstone Intermediate for an afternoon filled with inspiration, connection, and fun.
The afternoon began with a powerful welcome from the school, as students performed their haka and waiata, setting the scene for what would be an unforgettable visit.
The Black Ferns then joined the school for a Q&A session, where students had the chance to ask their questions and hear first-hand what life is like at the top level of rugby. The session even turned competitive, with an impromptu press-up challenge that had the entire room cheering and laughing.
From there, it was time to get moving. The Black Ferns and students participated in a series of skill and drill activities, allowing students to learn from the best while having plenty of fun along the way.
The afternoon wasn’t just about rugby techniques; it was about connection, encouragement, and inspiring the next generation. For the students of Maidstone Intermediate, it was a day to remember.
