Reliability and Durability

Enviable Reputation

Land Cruiser’s enviable reputation continues in New Zealand. From Cape Reinga to Bluff, every day we are pushing Land Cruisers to their limits and in some of the most severe conditions on the planet.

Land Cruiser 70 is renowned for reliable high performance whatever the job or working conditions. All models are powered by a 4.5 litre V8 Common Rail Turbo Diesel engine. Delivering 151kW at 3400rpm and an impressive 430Nm of torque from only 1200rpm, this engine provides the muscle needed to tackle the best of and worst of New Zealand’s natural terrain. (Tray not included)

The muscle needed to tackle all terrains

All Land Cruiser 70 models have a 5-speed manual transmission and part time 4WD with Dual Automatic Locking Hubs (D-ALH). The newly adopted D-ALH means that the driver no longer needs to get in and out of the vehicle to physically lock and unlock the front hubs when selecting 4WD mode. Front and rear differential locks ensure progress is maintained through the toughest terrain. The low transfer ratio of 2.488 and high torque allows very low speeds for controlled off-road manoeuvres and steep descents.

Land Cruiser 70’s suite of safety technology includes Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Active Traction Control (A-TRC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) and a reversing camera across the range, delivering optimum performance in areas where it’s likely to be used; dirt tracks, rural properties and country roads.
