A Dream Come True

In this issue of Believe we celebrate with Emirates Team New Zealand their victorious win in Bermuda claiming back the America’s Cup. We hear from Bob Field, Toyota’s former CEO and chair of Toyota New Zealand and current Ambassador. He has also been an adviser and mentor for Emirates Team New Zealand since the early 90s, and is a member of their Board. Bob shares how he believes the team won – despite the odds and challenges stacked against them; through their campaign strategy, innovation, team culture, sailing team skill and good fortune.

Sophie Irvine, a school student from Palmerston North, was fortunate enough to win her and her parents a trip to Japan from winning the New Zealand section of the Toyota Dream Car Art contest. By putting her creativity on paper, her dream came true. We caught up with Sophie following her trip.

With the festive season fast approaching, so too are the summer school holidays. This provides the perfect opportunity to get the kids outdoors and visit one of more than 80 Toyota Kiwi Guardian sites. We look at one of the sites, Gray’s Bush Scenic Reserve in Gisborne, where the Swann family got to become Kiwi Guardians!

We value the partnerships and relationships we’ve formed over the years with our local communities, most importantly with you – our customers.
