Toyota Hilux and Fortuner brake booster recall

News-Article-Toyota-Logo-950x450

Toyota New Zealand is recalling 3,183 vehicles due to a potential issue with the brake booster assembly. The models affected are the Toyota Hilux and Fortuner manufactured between March 2018 and May 2019.

This is a precautionary measure due to the potential for the vacuum operated brake booster to leak and provide reduced braking assistance.

The repair will be completed free of charge by Toyota stores and will take approximately 3.5 hours to complete.

Owners of the vehicles, which are traceable through registration data, will be contacted by Toyota New Zealand by letter in due course when parts are available, and your local Toyota Store is able to begin the repairs.

For further information please contact: 0800 TOYOTA (0800 869 682) or you can search your registration number here to see if it is involved in the recall.
