Toyota Hiace and Prado recall

news-article-toyota-logo-950x450

Toyota New Zealand is recalling 604 vehicles due to a potential fuel pipe tightening issue. The models affected are the Toyota Hiace and Prado manufactured between 11th March and 15th June 2019.

There are 427 Hiace, and 177 Prado vehicles affected by this recall.

This is a precautionary measure due to the potential for the fuel pipe that connects the fuel pump to the common rail to come loose from engine vibrations. If this was to occur, it could result in the engine stalling.

The remedy will be completed free of charge by Toyota stores and will take approximately 4 hours to complete.

Owners of the vehicles, which are traceable through registration data, will be contacted by Toyota New Zealand through a remedy letter.
