Toyota Corolla Wagon Recall

news-article-toyota-logo-950x450

Toyota New Zealand is recalling a small number of vehicles due to a potential back door strut issue. The model affected is the Corolla Wagon manufactured between 28th January and 12th March 2019.

There are 55 vehicles involved in this recall, which is a precautionary measure.

The recalled vehicles are equipped with gas charged back door struts which are used to help lift and then hold the back door when in the open position. There is the potential for the struts to leak gas allowing the door to close unexpectedly.

The remedy will be completed free of charge by Toyota stores and will take approximately 1 hour to complete.

Owners of the vehicles, which are traceable through registration data, will be contacted by Toyota New Zealand through a remedy letter.
