Toyota is working hard to source replacement parts for vehicles affected by the Takata airbag recall.
In New Zealand, 82,000 Toyota vehicles have been affected by the Takata airbag recall, with 16% (12,879) of these owners being advised replacement airbag parts are now available.
Based on the current parts supply Toyota anticipates a further five per cent to be completed this year, with all vehicles completed within 24 months.
Toyota New Zealand is not aware of any faulty deployments in Toyota or Lexus vehicles associated with the global airbag recall.
