Toyota Talent Tour returns to discover Kiwi entertainers

The Toyota Talent Tour, the first phase of auditions for TV ONE's variety entertainment show New Zealand's Got Talent, kicks off today in Invercargill.

Returning for a second year, the Toyota Talent Tour will travel to 14 locations from Invercargill to Whangarei over the next six weeks to find talented Kiwi entertainers. Audition highlights will screen on TVNZ's Breakfast show including live crosses from Sam's weather segment.

This year, in addition to the ultimate winner receiving $100,000 and a brand new 2013 Toyota RAV4, Toyota has also developed an exciting new opportunity for fans. The Toyota Talent Scout initiative encourages Kiwis to be the 'eyes and ears' for great talent in the community, then get them along to regional auditions.

The talent scout responsible for bringing along the eventual winner of New Zealand's Got Talent 2013 will be eligible to win a $5,000 prize from Toyota.

"New Zealand's Got Talent was an incredible success story last year, showcasing some amazing, previously unknown talent and everybody is looking forward to this year's series," says Neeraj Lala, Toyota New Zealand's General Manager of Marketing.

"We're keen to help find another fantastic group of Kiwi entertainers, so we hope people are inspired to get their friends, workmates and family members along to try out to be on the show."

Classic Hits and Toyota dealership staff will be on hand in each of the 14 regional locations, where auditions are being held, to help support and entertain those waiting in line for a chance to show their stuff.
