Dannevirke family scoops new Corolla as Toyota Talent Expo winner

Toyota Talent Expo winner Peter Dornbusch will be the envy of many Dannevirke locals as he drives around the small North Island town in his brand new 2013 Toyota Corolla.

Peter is a Toyota fan through and through, having traded in a Corolla wagon earlier this year for a Hilux to help his newly-established fencing business, and also owning an older Camry, which Peter's wife Alice plans to swap for the new Corolla.

Peter, Alice and their three children (Tara 13, Sam 10, and Cian 7) have been regularly watching New Zealand's Got Talent and all have their personal favourites, so it was a nail biting watch last evening to see who'd win.

The excited family couldn't believe their luck when Toyota told them they'd won the new Corolla, getting their entry in the draw by simply test driving a Corolla at their local Manawatu Toyota dealership. The competition attracted 7227 unique entries from around New Zealand.

Though Peter is particularly busy with his new business, the family is already planning to take on a road trip to Hawkes Bay this summer.

Toyota New Zealand General Manager of Marketing, Neeraj Lala, says the Toyota Talent Expo couldn't have been won by a more deserving family.

"Peter and Alice are typical, hard working Kiwis living in a rural community, who by chance also happen to have an affinity for Toyotas.

"New Zealand's Got Talent not only celebrated the arrival of our most talented 11th generation Corolla, but also supported the dreams of our superstars of the future. It's great that new Corollas have gone to both the overall winner Clara van Wel, and Peter Dornbusch as the lucky viewer."
