What exactly is an All-Electric?
An All-Electric (or Battery Electric) vehicle like the bZ4X is powered solely by its battery. Unlike a Hybrid, it doesn’t have a petrol engine that recharges the battery, so it doesn’t produce any emissions while driving. Plus, it delivers smooth, responsive performance and operates in near silence.

Charging options for your bZ4X
From public charging stations for when you’re out and about to using a home charger when your bZ4X is tucked in its parking spot, you’ve got options to stay topped up.
Home wallbox charger
A home wallbox is a good option for charging your bZ4X at home, such as overnight or when it’s not in use, as it typically charges your battery from 10% to 100% in around 9.5 hours.
Public rapid charging stations
Using a public DC rapid charging station is the fastest way to recharge your bZ4X. A typical 150kW public charging station can charge your battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.
Standard outlet charging
The bZ4X can be charged using a standard 3-pin 230V domestic outlet. While this is the slowest mode of charging, it can be a convenient option.

Should you run out of charge, we’ve got you covered. You’ll enjoy 5 years of 24/7 AA Roadside Assistance coverage as part of the Toyota Driveaway Price package. So, in the unlikely event your battery goes flat, they can top you up and get you on your way.
Expert service and support
Our nationwide network of experts can help with you any support you may need. And when it's time to service your bZ4X, you can count on our Toyota trained technicians. Bring your bZ4X into your local Toyota store every 12 months or 15,000km (whichever occurs first under normal operating conditions), and we'll inspect, adjust and maintain it as needed.

No. Most maintenance work on Petrol vehicles involves the engine and its components. A battery electric vehicle has fewer components and doesn’t produce emissions like an internal combustion engine which results in an easier and cheaper maintenance process.
This is dependent on the battery capacity of the battery electric vehicle and the unit cost of each kWh.
In general, the battery life retains up to 85% capacity after 10 years. But this also depends on the mileage, temperature environment, and charge cycles of the battery.

3. Toyota offers Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) battery capacity warranty coverage for 8 years or 160,000km whichever comes first under normal operating condition. The BEV battery warranty protects against abnormal loss of capacity, providing for a minimum of 70% of original BEV battery capacity. Terms, conditions and exclusions apply.
