Christchurch racer Simon Hunter has been putting in the hard yards on and off-track as he aims to make a major step forward in the highly competitive Bridgestone GR86 Championship.
Hunter showed flashes of real speed in his first season and came back strongly after a major crash at Invercargill that, through no fault of his own, caused major disruption to his first GR86 season.
Hunter completed the final rounds of the 2025 championship with the impressive new Right Karts by M2 Competition team, and has confirmed he will undertake the entire 2025-2026 season as part of the team. He will be engineered by the vastly experienced Mark Pilcher and will run the same car that he used to complete his first season.
