Hawkes Bay's driver Harry Townshend is ready to put an impressive winter to work in the 2025-2026 Bridgestone GR86 Championship and take another step towards the front of the grid.
Townshend scored his first podium in the highly competitive championship last season at Hampton Downs and during the winter scored his first race victories in a Toyota 86, in the Trophy series for older model cars. He completed his winter duties with a fine lights-to-flag victory over 25 laps at Taupo and says the whole winter experience has set him up for the season ahead.
A candidate for podiums and perhaps that first ‘main gamer’ win that has eluded him so far.
