"The thing I like the most is being able to continuously push it to the limits of grip - that's when driving is the most fun!"
#GT86 owner Brooke
"The steering and handling is one of the strongest points of the 86. I love the curves of the car exterior. The ISO child seat fixtures in the back seat are pretty handy and the boot is surprisingly roomy."
86 owner, Paul.
"This car is amazing I'm loving it inside and out."
"I've had it about 6 weeks now and I still grin from ear to ear when I'm driving it. I hope that feeling never leaves me."
"Driving to and from work. The 86 makes even a mediocre drive a pleasure."
"The 86 is my new daily driver, very nimble and a whole lot of fun."
President of the MR2 Owner's Club of NZ and avid 86 fan, Charlie.
Whether short-shift 6 speed Manual, or Automatic, the rear-wheel drive 86 makes driving fun again. The 86 manual models and the automatic GT86 come with Torsen® Torque Sensing Limited Slip Differential (LSD) to maximise traction on the wheel that needs it most.
Built by passion, not committee. Our goal was to create a sports car that puts fun first, and makes thrilling driving accessible to everyone. From the core of its design, to the carefully chosen technology that completes it, the 86 lives and breathes that promise.
A smart key system detects when you are near the car, and unlocks it for you the moment you touch the door handle, allowing seamless entry to the GT86’s cockpit. With push button start, dual zone climate control, a frameless inside mirror and an eye-catching centre console, the GT86 whispers luxury in one ear, and excitement in the other.
The main seat material on the GT86 is suede-like alcantara imprinted with a fine T-mesh detail. Seat side bolsters are finished in black leather accented material. The alcantara shoulder supports and contrasting stitching reflect the 86’s performance credentials.
The Toyota GT86 puts thrilling sports driving back into the hands of the many. From initial drawings, through to the stunning vehicle you see today, the 86 was designed by passion, not committee, with one goal in mind: making driving fun again.
