The Next-Gen RAV4 SUV provides high levels of safety, fuel-efficiency, occupant comfort, luggage capacity, towing capability, and user-friendly design and technology.
The Next-Gen RAV4 is the result of the Toyota New Generation Architecture (TNGA) design and engineering philosophy which encompasses driving quality, comfort, user-friendliness, pride of ownership, and security.
Toyota recognises that sustainability and fuel efficiency is a key issue for many SUV customers like you, so it has made the 2.5-litre petrol-electric hybrid powertrain available for the first time in the Next-Gen RAV4.
The hybrid powertrain in the Next-Gen RAV4 provides you with maximum power of 163 kilowatts through its Electronically-controlled CVT transmission, but most importantly a combined fuel consumption of 4.8L/100km and CO2 emissions of just 112g/km
Running back to the car in the rain with your hands full of shopping bags or other items is never going to be an issue with the Next-Gen RAV4 GXL thanks to the keyless smart entry and push button start system.
This keyless smart entry system allows you to lock and unlock the doors by simply carrying the smart key in a pocket, or in a bag. If you mistakenly leave the key in the vehicle, and attempt to lock it, a warning chime will sound.
Once you are comfortably behind the wheel, you don’t need to worry about inserting an ignition key, simply press the brake pedal with your foot and the stop/start button with your finger will start the engine up for a smooth getaway.
The newly developed E-Four all-wheel-drive system automatically optimises the distribution of power to the front and rear wheels in all Next-Gen RAV4 Hybrid models.
In normal on-road driving the E-Four system distributes more driving force from the electric motor to the rear wheels at take-off which suppresses any unwanted slippage from the front wheels, and provides you with enhanced acceleration, improved steering stability and reduced understeer when cornering in the Next-Gen RAV4 Hybrid. When driving off-road the E-Four system has greatly increased the torque output to the rear wheels providing you with more powerful hill climbing ability on rough terrain.
The 1500kg maximum braked towing capacity of Next-Gen RAV4 Hybrid matches the non-hybrid 2.5-litre models and proves its ability as a No-Compromise SUV. You get all the efficiency benefits of the Hybrid powertrain plus the ability to tow a camping trailer, small boat or small caravan.
Fulfilling its promise as a No Compromise SUV the Next-Gen RAV4 has an all-new polygonal themed interior with high-quality textures and décor, from the stylish twin stitching finish on the dashboard, to the tactile feel of the rotary switch controlling the air-conditioning.
An increase of 30mm in the wheelbase of the Next-Gen RAV4 has provided more space and legroom in the cabin for occupants.
Toyota has created new TNGA seats for the Next-Gen RAV4 with a hip point that’s 15mm lower for easier access and greater travelling comfort, and the steering wheel has a larger range of adjustment to better suit shorter and taller drivers.
The RAV4 GXL Hybrid offers you even greater comfort thanks to premium embossed black fabric upholstery trim, and dual zone climate air-conditioning. The leather-clad steering wheel and shift lever, and satin chrome interior door handles not only add more luxury to the cabin ambience they offer you a greater tactile experience.
Rear privacy glass not only provides greater security of the luggage area but also enhanced solar protection for rear seat passengers.
